There were instances last cycle when we had to do dumps on a particular page though and you would type -i [story_id] where the story_id is in krang (sorry page is a little bit misleading). The same goes for -e, except that means you will run it on everything except that page. You can do mulitple pages too. -i [story_id1,story_id2,story_id3]. The Y is just something that has to be done. I forget what it means. I think it has to do with printing to screen. I believe it can be ignore though if you don't need to add an alternate source_code. Though now that i think about it, i think that is just something deprecated form iMIS when every contribution had a source_code. So yeah just ignore that too. j On 5/22/07, Brent Kimmel <kimmel@dccc.org> wrote: > > cool... > > 1 last and final Q: > > > ./get_ngp.pl -i [page] [start date] [end date] 6 [email address] y > [alternate source_code] > > > What should I use for the [page] argument on that? The Y is just something that has to be done.  I forget what it means.  I think it has to do with printing to screen.  I believe it can be ignore though if you don't need to add an alternate source_code.  Though now that i think about it, i think that is just something deprecated form iMIS when every contribution had a source_code.  So yeah just ignore that too.

1 last and final Q:

./get_ngp.pl -i [page] [start date] [end date] 6 [email address] y [alternate source_code]

What should I use for the [page] argument on that?  And can I omit the  [alternate source_code]?  And what is the "y" for?  (It doesn't say in the docs?)

I'd run it with get_ngp_r2b.pl. Somone may have to edit that process though.  I never got to test it.

Thanks Joseph.  1 more question;  in the rare case that there would be a negative earmark, would that come through the ngp_r2b.pl with an '-n' switch...or would it be through the get_ngp.pl one with an '-n' switch?

Thanks again for the help;  Let me know how the Chuck Norris facts site works out!

The international one is made when you run the normal one and sent to you, but only if there are international contributions.  IT will be missing if there are none.

To do the Frontline Earmarked Contributions you run get_ngp_r2b.pl with 8 as the payment account.  The other thing was for Conduit contributions, I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon.

Cool, we just got it working-

I don't see anything in the notes you left about how to run the "international" export...do you remember which script & switch went with that?  I think I can get the regular one and the negative one (which you said was just like the regular with a '-n' switch at the beginning),.

Also, the notes left me a little confused about how to get the earmark stuff...In the notes you left instructions to get earmarks through both the get_ngp.pl and get_ngp_r2b.pl.  Which one should I use?  And for the payment account argument, I just use an "8" for FrontLine - right?

Sorry to bug you, dude.  I should have tried to dry run this before you left.

I am just baffled since you could log in the other day.  Oh well.

BTW we may be putting together an online store for chuck norris facts and my new gig.
